Congratulations to Our 2026 Zack Leffler Memorial Scholarship Recipients!

This morning, May 20th, 2026, we had the honor of presenting the 2026 Zack Leffler Memorial Scholarship at Walton-Verona High School's senior awards ceremony. This year, we awarded three $2,000 scholarships to seniors who exemplify what Zack stood for — hard work, leadership, and lifting up the people around them.

We are beyond thrilled to recognize:

Jackson Morwessel, who will be attending the University of Cincinnati this fall. Jackson has been a fixture on the soccer field for 14 years, serving as Varsity Captain this season and earning multiple MVP and defensive awards throughout his career. He carries a 4.4 GPA and was selected for the Senior Allstar Game for Walton-Verona.

Tristan Clifton, who will be heading to Dartmouth College. Tristan has been a Varsity Co-Captain on the soccer field while also captaining volleyball, golf, and tennis — and somehow still found time to serve as Y-Club President, compete at the Kentucky Youth Assembly, and place at the state level in FBLA. A true example of what it looks like to go all in on everything you do.

Luke Muirheid, who will be attending Thomas More University. Luke is a singer, athlete, and community servant — earning a place in the Kentucky All-State Choir while also competing on the varsity soccer team and giving back through volunteer work in the community.

We are so proud of all three of you. Zack's legacy is in good hands!
